Time and Place: Never-ending winter

I was in the middle of a cover shoot when the "blizzard" hit. Managing Editor Chante LaGon and I were standing in front of the old Atlanta Life Insurance building on Auburn Avenue trying to line up a photo from 1928 of the building when snow started falling fast.

"A  little to the left, no the right, back, no forward," I instructed, trying to relive the moment when an unknown photographer snapped the photo which appears on this week's cover of Creative Loafing. We didn't last long, fleeing shortly after. Driving in the "snowstorm" the need to snap some images before returning to the office became paramount and we pulled over at Centennial Olympic Park where I tried to make a photo that captured the feeling of the intense amount of snow that was falling fast. These two guys were walking quickly across the path in the park they looked like a mirage through the snow. When I was editing the images I chose this one because I liked the way their legs mirrored each other, becoming one. Will this winter ever end?
