It only took four months and a day, but Atlanta's state Sen. David Adelman was finally confirmed by the U.S. Senate earlier today as this country's new ambassador to Singapore.
I haven't had a chance to ask him when his last day at the Gold Dome will be, but Adelman has previously said he wouldn't stick around long after his confirmation. For one, he'd need to resign his seat in order to take the oath of office for a federal post. But he also plans to get on his new job as soon as possible.
