Morning Newsdome: Joe Biden tells it like it is March 24 2010

A daily round-up of all that’s important from around the world

>> Vice President Joe Biden, speaking near a live mic, told President Obama that the health care bill was “a big fucking deal.” Damn right it is, you silly son of a bitch! (the Christian Science Monitor)

>> The U.S. and Russia have reportedly reached an agreement on a nuclear arms reduction treaty that will allow the two countries to retain 1,500 nuclear warheads each. If that’s a reduction, then I’m officially scared. (MSNBC)

>> Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil exporter, arrested more than 100 people suspected of plotting attacks on oil and security stations in the country. A hundred down, a thousand more to go. (Al Jazeera)

>> Unlike those tolerant Georgia school officials that allowed a boy to bring a gay date to his prom, Mississippi teen Constance McMillen wasn’t allowed to bring her girlfriend to her prom, which was canceled due to her request. Now a federal judge has ruled in the girl’s favor, saying the school board violated her rights, and the canceled dance is now back on. Get down with your bad self, Constance! (USA Today)

>> And finally: The director of public health in Teeside, Britain, links cases of syphilis, up fourfold, to areas that Facebook is most popular due to the online ease of casual sex. I’ll never casually “poke” again. (the Telegraph)
