News Nancy Schaefer was murdered by child-welfare workers!?!

Conspiracy theorists have been working overtime since the former state senator and her husband were found dead in their Toccoa mountain home two Fridays ago. And the buzz only got louder after the GBI announced that the right-wing Christian extremist had been killed by her husband of 52 years, who then turned the gun on himself.
The AJC's estimable Mark Davis referenced the various nut-job conspiracies swirling around the Schaefers' murder-suicide in Sunday's paper, but he refrained from going into detail.
Fortunately, we at CL are not similarly constrained by the bounds of good taste and objectivity. Instead, we've surfed through the volumes of black-helicopter crazitude out there and can confidently inform you that an unhealthy contingent of Georgians believe the Schaefers were murdered because the Eagle Forum founder was about to blow the cover off a sinister conspiracy between the state office of Child Protective Services, a cabal of pornographers and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Or something like that.

- Voting-machine activist Garland Favorito offers an 11-point argument why the “murder suicide theory is highly unlikely." (Reason #1: "It is totally against Nancy Schaefer’s consistently strong commitment to the sanctity of life principles she fought so valiantly to uphold." Well, duh.)

Waco-obsessed syndicated talk-radio host Alex Jones, who interviewed Schaefer last year, observes that the "corporate media does not bother to mention that Schaefer exposed the abuses of CPS and the international child sex slavery ring."
- A poster on www.abovetopsecret.com posits that Schaefer was about to blow the whistle on "government sanctioned and protected child kidnapping operations that bring in billions in corrupt blood tainted dollars to co-conspirators that pimp their services to a group of criminal pedophiles and hardcore Satanists and those that worship their dark lord Lucifer." Whew, that's a mouthful.
- Another conspiracy-loving talk-radio host, Paul Drockton, reveals that Schaefer "was wrapping up a self-funded documentary that 'named names' and exposed a very high-level, child-pedophile ring."
- And over on WSB.com, the purveyor of right-wing talk radio gets a dose of its own medicine from listeners enraged that the station would post an AP story suggesting Schaefer was killed by her hubby. "Shame on you, WSB!" one says. "You are no news agency, you are, at best, an enabler of tyranny."
There's plenty more crazy out there, folks. But I'll let you Google it up for yourselves.

Scott, I imagine DaleC will say you have sunk to a new low in speaking ill of the dead. This is actually more charitable than speaking ill of the living, who have feelings that might conceivably be hurt. But enough of that reality-based crap. I personally believe Nancy's hubby discovered she had been making gay porn videos, which left him little honorable alternative. Thank god for the 2nd amendment.

I knew Bruce Schaefer, and he confided in his golf buddies back in 2006 that he was suffering from prostate cancer and that it didn't matter anyway because his wife had not had sex with him in more than 20 years. This poor man had suffered for too long with a frigid wife who spent his money on frivolous and quixotic political ambitions. She never understood that the recession required belt-tightening. She kept on spending, even as Bruce's money ran out and their home was in foreclosure. I don't excuse what he did, but I certainly understand it.
Cityzen - the article is making fun of conspiracy nutters, not the dead woman. I make fun of nutters, too. If you're going to make fun of me, at least pay attention :-)
What gets me about this whole thing is that no one even looks into the claims. It's not impossible that we have or had corrupt and sick people in our governments, be it local, state and federal.( cough-Bush-cough) Instead of just calling people nutjobs why don't you look into the claims? Many cities, including the one I live in, will often have Chinese "Delegates" in town from time to time and it's funny how not long after that an Asian Massage parlor will show up in that town. We all know or should know by now that those are fronts to a sex slave ring run by criminals yet most of those places are up and running in Atlanta and surrounding areas and are never really targeted by police. Forget that wacky theories and look at it like there is a crime being committed and the victims are kids. But that could never happen in the US right? Our politicians would never do something like that, right?
If DFCS killed everyone who was about to expose some sort of corruption then there would be bodies piled higher than the Capitol. Yes there is a child prostitution problem in GA. But DFCS is involved to stop it. Why buy a mythology of high level prostitution rings when the regular "pimp recruits runaway girls" plays out in the open everyday? (there are far easier ways to make money from DFCS, legally and illegally) What we really need is prevention and cooperation. DFCS needs to work with communities to prevent abuse that leads down this path. DFCS, DJJ, and law enforcement need to work together to create real penalties against those who traffic and those who purchase sex with children. Right now, this is a low priority for all.

It's sad the stance that CL has taken in dismissing anything that does not fit within the "Spectrum of Allowable Opinion" Would it be considered journalism for me to focus in on one random comment in response to an article on your web-site to give a snapshot of what all of your readers think or are like? It's quite sickening what gets passed off as journalism these days. Here is a newsflash for you. The corporate media (Including CL) is owned and operated by forces which do not necessarily have the public good in mind. Being this is the reality you are hard pressed to do the work of real journalism. Cover ups are common place and to dismiss anyone who challenges the position of the state shows your inability to accurately portray divergent perspectives. It seems everyone posting here has plenty of opinions and labels, but very little, if any, facts. Thanks for the delusional fabulism, otherwise known as facts. I did not know Nancy or her husband, but I have read enough credible documentation on this story to have legitimate questions. It is unfortunate that political and personal views, or the apparent enjoyment of insulting a fellow human, can blind us and obscure real issues. Somewhere within us all we feel the pain of hurting others, insulting others, and mocking others. Why do we give something that is so terrible to receive? I send you all my love.
It is ignorant to premise one's opinion on the assumption that conspiracies of this type don't exist. The book The Franklin Coverup by State Senator John DeCamp detailed such an operation in Kansas. It was vetted by Wm Colby , former CIA Director and made into a BBC documentary Conspiracy of Silence. I suggest one read this book before dismissing alternative views on Mrs. Schaefer's death.
Actually it was state Sen. Don Thomas who initiated a conspriary theory when he claimed that Bruce had cancer and implied that was why they killed themselves. We were able to disprove his theory because friends of the family knew that it was benign and successfully treated years ago. So why didn't you mention him, Scott? Let me know if you want to do a serious, fact based investigative report on this very impoprtant matter

If Bruce was under financial stress why wouldn’t he seek help from any or all of his five grown children who loved him and would have wanted to help? 5. Why would Bruce decide to deprive both he and Nancy of seeing the grandchildren who they loved so dearly grow up? 6. Why would Bruce knowingly take a drastic action that would devastate the children and grandchildren who loved him so much? 7. Why would Bruce, who was so highly supportive of Nancy’s efforts for decades, including her CPS/DFCS work, decide to kill her just at the peak of one of her most important works? 8. Why would Bruce commit such an act that was so against his faith and completely out of character for him according to those who know him best? 9. Why would Bruce jeopardize any chance of the family collecting life insurance benefits by committing suicide and killing his wife? Such an investigation should be able to answer some of these questions while still protecting the privacy of the family. Schaefer’s SB415 from 2008 to help properly protect children from the abusive situations described and pass this bill largely intact rather than gutting it in committee like before; * Help get SB235 out of the House Judiciary Committee and passed through the House to protect Georgians against new federal legislation that can force them to be implanted with microchips against their will. * Gather the appropriate organizations to help create and pass real legislation to reduce the terribly high child sex slave trafficking rate in the metro Atlanta area; * Help ensure that the investigation by the GBI into the death of the Schaefers will answer some of the burning questions that remain; The legislation described would address some of the issues that drew much concern from Nancy Schaefer in the last few years of her life. These issues are also concern to nearly all Georgians regardless of any political affiliation. There should be little opposition to any of these measures. It shames me to know that a human being could be capable of writing such a disturbing article. The Schaefers were days away from releasing a documentary film exposing a pedophile ring within the highest levels of government. The Schaefers were planning to name names in this film. The guy producing this film has been doing interviews stating that he believes the "official" murder-suicide explanation even though it was such a direct opposite of their guiding principles. My guess is the juicy parts of the Schaefers' documentary will never see the light of day. Scott, what percentage of suicide victim's shoot themselves in the chest? Nancy was NOT a conspiracy theorist. She was a well educated, well informed Senator who had a strong love of children and Christian faith. She was a wonderful and compassionate person and anyone who discredits her for speaking out should be shot themselves. You don't know the truth you idiots who put her down. I knew Nancy. She was a dear friend and YES both her and Bruce were killed to keep them quiet about what was going on with CPS. Nancy was working on a documentary as well as a book. I'd like to point out to all of the ignorant people on here that those who try to expose CPS face extreme retaliation. I know this first hand because I was also a target during the time I was an Activist. My phones were tapped, websites and videos were taken down, I had three "gag orders" placed on me and the brakes went out on all 4 of my cars within a 6 month period My daughter former therapist warned me that this might happen and told me he knew of people who were murdered by CPS agents, and that this was the reason he didn't work for the County. Many people are in hiding or have died under "mysterious circumstances". Take for example Bill Bowen who had just completed "Innocence Betrayed". He was warned that a "hit" had been placed on him and attempted to hide, but it was too late. There are people who have won large settlements against CPS who also died under "mysterious circumstances", as well as some very close friends of mine, including Senator Nancy Schaefer. I have my own suspicions on "who" is involved. However, there is no one that will do anything because there is a huge cover up involving the GBI. This is not the type of information that one can freely put on the internet, but lets just say that Nancy was doing a documentary that exposed the Racketeering and abuse and someone didn't want that information going public. I would assume that the person who was staying at her home during the time of the murders would of have access to her security system. Film producer Wilky Fain went on Alex Jones show right after trying to peddle the documentary instead of releasing it as promised, attempting to convince people that Bruce shot his wife of 52 years. Friends of mine who went to dinner with the Schaefers the night before the murder seem to recall Bruce telling them he was going to be in "golf tournament" the following week, and Nancy was scheduled to speak at the "Family Preservation Rally in Washington DC" in July. They were both excited about the documentary coming out. In fact Nancy was writing a book about all the corruption, and had planned on exposing a High Level Pedophile Ring exposing some Politicians. Nancy was scared to death for her life, and used "prepaid phones" to ensure that her calls remained private. For her appearance at the Rally she requested that the rooms on either side of her be vacant to ensure her privacy. Wilky Fain was very upset when he found out about she used prepaid phones, vehemently denying this fact to me. For what reason I don't know. I've heard that a person can turn on a cell phone on, so I suppose it's possible that the murders could have tape recorded if this was done.
But the truth is CPS is and has always been a "Government Eugenics" Organization", and for the last 35 years this has been carried out in "secret courts" and all under the disguise of Child Protection. Only 24% of the children that CPS takes are actually abused. They are performing "positive/negative" eugenics, while profiting from drugging many of the foster children. Nancy came to this realization with my help as I did a lot of the research for her. She was planning on running for Governor so she could cut off the Federal Funds. So she was killed to keep her quiet. Those Politicians who gave their condolences right after the murders, suggesting Bruce shot Nancy made these statement even before the GBI had begun their investigations. All of them had opposing views and were profiting off children being in the system. Governor Casey Cagle facilitated in getting Nancy out of office. She told me this personally. The "suicide" letters that they spoke of Bruce wrote those, but probably the previous year when he had surgery. His prostate cancer was gone so this was a lie too.
All of the evidence was destroyed due to the cover up. I might add that Wilky Fain was good friends with the head of the GBI. Nancy was a wonderful Christian woman whose faith wouldn't allow her to turn a blind eye to the horrible injustices that were taking place. She fought for the rights of these families and children, including myself for which I will always be grateful. I got my daughter back after two years, and she went on TV to tell her story about how she was kidnapped and abused by the State. Most of the children are not abused. The only crime that many of these families have ever committed is not having the ability or resources to fight back against a corrupt system. Federal funds are given to CPS agencies and if they do not obtain enough children they must return the money. Therefore Social Workers look for children to take because it's a very profitable business. It is very difficult for these families to find an attorney for their licenses are being taken if they assist. The Court appointed attorneys are all being paid from County funds, and these injustices are taking place in "Secret" Civil Kangaroo courts rather than "Criminal" court, so families have no where to turn for help. Even State Representatives turn a blind eye.Perhaps they know the State is performing Eugenics, and some financing their political careers using children Non Profits. If you go to www.guidestar.com you will see the 900 tax returns showing the enormous amount of money the "Child Protection Industry" brings in from taxpayers. This is what Nancy tried to stop. I hope this clears up some of your questions. I just can't sit here quietly and read these terrible remarks being said about by dear friend. She was a warrior who died trying to protect these children and if anyone says anything bad about her then they themselves should be shot.
My son was kidnapped in 1999 - he is 18 now and still missing. Anyone who wants to joke about this criminal child trafficking ring or those of us who know activists who were murdered are COWARD SCUM who don't deserve to call themselves Americans.
