Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, says Gov. Sonny Perdue is one of the country's 11 "worst" governors. Georgia's chief executive is in good company, as he's listed alongside the governors of New York, South Carolina and Mississippi.

The nonprofit, nonpartisan watchdog group (which critics say is funded by left-wing demon George Soros and therefore everything it says shouldn't be trusted) points out Perdue's penchant for taking lobbyists' gifts, ability to enjoy special tax breaks, and hobby of running afoul of campaign finance laws, among other missteps.

(We should note that CREW cites the AJC's report on Perdue's failure to disclose his Jackson Lake vacation home on his disclosures, when it was CL that broke the story. No sour grapes, however, and we still plan to send the group a fruit basket.)

You can read CREW's report here (PDF).  But really, who are these Beltway elitists to come in tell Georgians things we already know, eh?
