Jarrett Krosoczka's Lunch Lady series seems to be on the brink of attaining kid-friendly pop esteem comparable to Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The amusing, family-oriented graphic novels series depicts a mild-mannered lunch lady who in reality fights evil-doers with cafeteria-inspired spy gadgets, like spatulas that become helicopters and hairnets that ensnare hired goods. "Parks & Recreations'" Amy Poehler is developing a feature film version, but in the meantime, Decatur's Little Shop of Stories is holding a party at 4 p.m. May 11 to celebrate t0day's release of the latest book, Lunch Lady and the Summer Camp Shakedown.
