Uncategorized Brian Howe and Casey McKinney at the Hot Spot on Saturday

If the above video by Brian and Ashley Howe is any indication, the reading at East Atlanta's Hot Spot coffee shop on Saturday should be as much fun as a handful of potent mushrooms. North Carolina's Brian Howe is the author of, among other things, a chapbook called This Is The Fucking Remix and a number of video and sound poetry collaborations. The last time Howe came to read in Atlanta, he left with some substantial face abrasions and a headache from Jägermeister.
Howe will be joined by Casey McKinney, editor of entertaining online lit mag The Fanzine. McKinney's writing has been published in Bookforum, Artforum, Spin, and Mythym, a book edited by Trinie Dalton. The reading gets started at 7 pm.
