Parking moratorium ends June 11 ... then what?

What Atlanta can expect post-parking enforcement moratorium

The end of the 30-day moratorium on parking enforcement is drawing nigh. Since May 12, PARKatlanta has been temporarily prohibited from issuing citations for overtime parking, expired meters, illegal parking activities, and from booting and towing vehicles, so — as interim Public Works Commissioner Michael Cheyne put it — PARKatlanta and the city could “assess the policies and practices of parking enforcement and administration, review customer service training and ongoing public education and involvement, explore strategies to reduce the number of citizen complaints, and review all parking signage.” At midnight on June 11, PARKatlanta will officially be back on the streets.

So, what’s actually been accomplished?
