The long, hard slog to get on the ballot

Mary Norwood, the former city councilwoman who waged a commendable, no-holds-barred campaign to become Atlanta mayor, has set her sights on ousting Fulton County Chairman John Eaves in November. Since she announced her candidacy last month as an independent (which we considered a savvy move), Norwood’s been on the campaign trail nonstop, collecting signatures all over the county so she can get her name on the ballot. Her goal? Approximately 23,000 names. (You can find info about her campaign here.)

Judging by her tweets and the photos on her campaign’s Facebook page, she’s leaving no stone unturned. We were enchanted by this one snapshot, which looks as if it were plucked from an exhibition by David LaChapelle. But we need a caption.
