Even though a certain enterprising local jerkfacejerk beat me to it by about 15 minutes, I'm still compelled to post this great map from Forbes.com showing 2008 migration to-and-from Atlanta.
The black lines represent migration to Atlanta. The red lines represent migration out. The thicker the line, the greater the number of people. New Atlantans come from all over. Ex-Atlantans are fond of D.C. New York, New Orleans, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Austin, Houston, and Dallas.

The Forbes page lets you map ingress and egress from every county in the U.S.

30 years ago, my parents were one of those black lines coming down from southwestern Ohio. This is awesome, I like to theorize about why people moved out.
30 years ago my parents and I were also one of those black lines coming down from southwestern OH (with a brief stop in Chicago on the way). From the time I was little I imagined I would leave even though the rest of my family planned on staying. They all ended up leaving though and here I stay.
