Last weekend, more than 100 local filmmaking teams worked around the clock to crank out films in 48 hours for the 48 Hour Film Project. Besides completing the projects within the two-day time frame, each team had to incorporate the three following elements into its project:

1. Character: David or Denise Landeryou, School Principal
2. Prop: Keys
3. Line of Dialogue: “Let me know what you think.”

All of the films premiere this weekend at the Plaza Theatre Fri., June 25, 7-11 p.m. and Sun., June 27, 1-9 p.m. Because there are so many teams, the contenders have been broken up into five groups, so peep the schedule here if you’re looking for a specific team. (Tickets are $9-$10.) Now in its ninth year in Atlanta, the 10 best films from the 2010 international competition will screen at the Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner next year. Not too shabby.
