And how are you celebrating National Go Skateboarding Day?

Atlanta City Council, on the other hand, took the opportunity this afternoon to recognize pro-skater and Atlanta resident, Stevie Williams, for "utilizing the action sport to ascend from homelessness to premiere skater and entrepreneur, earning the respect of top international extreme sport athletes and enthusiasts."

Williams, who started skate boarding at age 11, has since founded successful skate company DGK (Dirty Ghetto Kids), hosted ESPN's Summer X Games and appeared all CGI-like in several of Tony Hawk's video games.

While at City Hall, perhaps Williams will take the opportunity to "gleam the cube" (of awesomeness) that is Councilwoman Cleta Winslow's hairdo ...
