A light on the Horizon

Posted By on Tue, Jul 6, 2010 at 4:00 PM

Remember less than six weeks ago when the Horizon Theatre Company was embarking on a capital campaign to cover a $90,000 deficit? And how they had practically no time to make that happen? Well, they did it. Basically. Almost. They could still use a last little push toward the finish line - but if the recent outpouring of support for the 26-year-old L5P theater is any indication, you guys are going to take them all the way.

Co-founder Lisa Adler said Friday:

We are still getting in our mailed in contributions for June - we have only about $1,500 to go to balance the budget this year. We're hopeful that small gap will be closed - so we are still excepting pledges toward that End of Year campaign. Only 15 more people giving $100 and we're there.

Considering that number was almost $100,000 a few months ago, we're grateful to everyone who worked hard raising funds on our behalf - staff, board, and friends.

Well done, CL readers (yeah, we're gonna give you guys all the credit.)
