Transgender woman wins federal lawsuit against Legislature

A federal judge on Friday said the state discriminated against Vandy Beth Glenn, a transgender woman, when she was fired from her job as a legislative editor after she revealed plans to transition from male to female. The Georgia Voice has more, including a copy of the ruling.

Place your bets on whether the state next year will finally pass a law prohibiting the termination of employees based on sexual orientation or gender identity and prevent similar lawsuits from being filed.
