Georgia Conservation Voters unveil 2010 primary endorsementss

The Georgia Conservation Voters, the eco-minded advocacy group that keeps close watch on environmental issues under the Gold Dome, has rolled out its list of endorsements for the July 20 primary.

“These thirteen candidates are committed and effective environmental leaders for their constituents,” Chris Osborne, GCV executive director, said in a statment. “These legislators have made protecting the environment a priority. From growing jobs through water and energy conservation to supporting transit, these are the folks who have worked to improve the quality of life for all Georgians.”

The picks are based on candidate questionnaires and interviews, voting records, and input from local conservationists.

The lucky thirteen state representatives and senators are listed after the jump.

House

HD 32: Rep. Judy Manning, R-Marietta
HD 33: Rep. Don Wix, D-Mableton
HD 44: Rep. Sheila Jones, D-Atlanta
HD 55: Rep. Rashad Taylor, D-Atlanta
HD 74: Rep. Roberta Abdul-Salaam, D-Riverdale
HD 78: Rep. Glenn Baker, D-Jonesboro
HD 96: Rep. Pedro Marin, D-Duluth
HD 177: Rep. Mark Hatfield, R-Waycross

Senate

SD 34: Sen. Valencia Seay, D-Riverdale
SD 38: Sen. Horacena Tate, D-Atlanta
SD 39: Sen. Vincent Fort, D-Atlanta
