News Rumor: Erickson for RNC Chair

There's a rumor going around the series of tubes* that Georgia blogger and the nation's top goat-rapist locator Erick Erickson will challenge Michael Steele to be head of the Republican National Committee.
The source of the rumor: Erick Erickson.
In a post on RedState, Erickson mentions (i.e. spreads) the rumor without ever actually denying it.
It's clearly another of Erickson's expert attention-getting ploys, but I actually think he'd be a great RNC chair. Just imagine how much plastic dog poop Erick would be able to mail if he gets the key to the RNC's petty cash drawer.
