A new poll from Channel 2 Action News and Insider Advantage show Republican Nathan Deal with less of a lead in the Georgia gubernatorial race.
The poll shows Deal, a former congressman, with support of 45 percent of those questioned, to 41 percent for Barnes. Another 5 percent back Libertarian John Monds and 9 percent are undecided.“The race is closer than some people expected,” Matt Towery, CEO of InsiderAdvantage, told WSB Radio.
The poll shows the race tighter than a survey released last week by Rasmussen Reports, which had the race at 51 percent for Deal and 42 percent for Barnes.
