The ambitious Dreamer Boy Dan project opens at MINT Gallery tonight. The work centers around a narrative of Dreamer Boy Dan's life, as told through ten paintings which are accompanied by ten poems which will be set to music by a band of ten muscians. Catch all that? Little Tybee frontman Brock Scott and visual artist Nic*Rad started collaborating about two years ago and tonight their dream will be birthed. Book of Colors opens up.

The latest film about Basquiat is a documentary of an unusually intimate sort. The Radiant Child is largely based around video that Basquiat's friend Tamra Davis shot of him, just a couple of years before he died. When the film premieres tonight at Midtown Art Cinema, the 7 pm screening will be followed by a conversation hosted by Fahamu Pecou and including our own Cinque Hicks.
