Morning Newsdome: Obama gives credit where credit is due in Oval Office address

>> President Obama is being criticized for not being gracious enough to former President George W. Bush during his Oval Office address last night when he merely said, "No one can doubt President Bush's support for our troops, or his love of country and commitment to our security." Yes, Bush implemented a surge in troops, but does he really need to be thanked for a war he created? (the Washington Post)

>> Newsweek surveyed people asking if they believe Obama "sympathizes with the goals of Islamic fundamentalists who want to impose Islamic law around the world." While of course the majority of Republicans thought it was probably or definitely true, the majority of Democrats responded as unsure to the allegation. Um...what? (Newsweek)

>> Hamas has claimed responsibility for the deaths of four Israelis, including a pregnant woman, last night after firing on their car in the deadliest action against Israelis in more than two years. This comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in peace talks in Washington DC. Serenity now! (the New York Times)

>> Former Cuban president Fidel Castro has admitted, "If someone is responsible" for the persecution of Cuban gays after the 1959 revolution, "it's me." Too little too late, Fidel. (BBC News)

>> And finally: A group of teenagers allegedly harassed members of a mosque in Carlton, NY, during evening Ramadan prayers by shouting obscenities, sideswiping one of the Muslims with a car and firing a shotgun in the air. But of course these Islamophobic events are unrelated. (the New York Times)

I'm surprised that Oydave hasn't started foaming at the mouth on this one.

I'm touched that you care.

Which story you talking about, cubreporter reversed? I'll go with Hamas. Why are these people still drawing breath? Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran...how's that outreach going there Barry?

I hope the next time they provoke Israel, the response is so overwhelming there's nothing but a greasy spot left on the beach.

That rabid enough for you , Pilgrim?

Does anyone really think the majority of Lebanese or Palestinian people agree with the actions and politics of Hezbollah/Hamas?

If you do, you're an idiot and need to expand your knowledge of the world. That would be like saying the majority of Americans want to kill and maim Iraqi civilians.
