Report: AJC's Cam McWhirter hops to WSJ's Atlanta bureau

Score one for the Wall Street Journal.

From Talking Biz News:

Cameron McWhirter, an enterprise and watchdog reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, has been hired to work for the Wall Street Journal, multiple sources have confirmed.

McWhirter, who will be based in the Atlanta bureau, replaces Corey Dade, who left the Journal for National Public Radio.

McWhirter's one of the state's most talented investigative reporters. Most recently he discovered that Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine received illegal campaign contributions from insurance industry officials and caught a state senator pushing reservoir legislation that would've benefited his private business consulting firm.
