American success story Sarah Palin endorses Georgia congressional hopeful

Noted historian and reality TV star Sarah Palin took to her Facebook wall yesterday and ordered her admirers to cast ballots for a slate of political hopefuls. Among the names: Ray McKinney, a Republican candidate who wants to unseat Congressman John Barrow in Georgia's 12th district.

From The Land of the Lost:

We can count on Ray McKinney to be a strong, independent voice for Georgia’s 12th Congressional District. As Ray says, “If you like the way things are going now, vote for the other guy.” Ray’s opponent has skipped over 75 votes in Congress since 2005, and he’s ducking debates when Georgians want answers. Had enough? Join me in supporting Ray McKinney. Please visit Ray’s website at and follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

No telling if McKinney will cough up more than $100,000 for Palin to visit. You'll recall that former GOP gubernatorial hopeful Karen Handel paid that sum to fly in the former vice-presidential candidate to sign books rally voters in Buckhead prior to the Republican runoff. The visit wasn't enough to earn Handel the votes she needed to trump opponent Nathan Deal.

Oh, and Ray: If news crews ask you if you think Palin's qualified to be president, say yes! You'll thank us later.
