>> Though NATO still doesn't officially know where Osama bin Laden is, they report that bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri are living separately in "relative comfort" in houses in northwest Pakistan. "Nobody in al Qaeda is living in a cave," the official said. What does "relative comfort" even mean in Pakistan? (CNN)

>> Speaking of caves: Two of the four miners trapped underground in southern Ecuador on Friday are still missing, while the other two miners were found dead. Fall's worst trend: trapped miners. (CNN)

>> The trend has reached the far east: A gas explosion on Saturday killed at least 21 workers and trapped 16 more in a central China coal mine. Apparently mining accidents are so common in China that they rarely garner media attention. Well, they're never going to win the public's heart that way. (the New York Times)

>> Republican candidates have raised a considerable amount more funding (like $20 million more per candidate!) than Democrats in eighteen of the top twenty Senate races, with California and Colorado the two exceptions. And I'm sure this has nothing to do with the Supreme Court allowing corporations to donate to politicians. (Politico)

>> And finally: Two years after Citigroup became the financial bail-out's poster child, the company reported today $2.2 billion in profits. I hope the government charged tons of interests and all sorts of surprise hidden fees to Citigroup. (the New York Times)
