British author and rock music aficionado Nick Hornby will read tonight at the Highland Inn's Ballroom Lounge for the Ballroom Book Bash to promote the paperback release of his critically acclaimed book Juliet, Naked, presented by A Cappella Books. Here, the Top 5 reasons you should go see him:

5. LIVE MUSIC: Local art-punk band Can Can will perform following Hornby's reading.

4. THE BASH IS BACK: After a long hiatus, this read marks the return of the Ballroom Book Bash presented by A Cappella Books, which kicked off more than four years ago in 2006 with a reading by Scottish (and also bald) author Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting).

3. COVER CHARGE: For $15 dollars you not only get to see and hear Hornby, but you also get a copy of his latest novel Juliet, Naked, which the Seattle Times calls "[a] big-hearted novel of obsessed music lovers and bittersweet love." Hornby will also sign copies of the book.

2. SHUFFLE AND DEAL: The famously music-centric writer will share tracks from his iPod and Lonely Avenue, a collaborative album with singer/songwriter Ben Folds.

1. UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL: Unlike big venues like the Cobb Energy Centre, Hornby's reading will be held at the intimate Ballroom Lounge downstairs at the Highland Inn — a rare opportunity to experience one of modern lit's biggest names in such close proximity.

Event starts at 7 p.m. at Highland Inn’s Ballroom Lounge, 644 N. Highland Ave., Atlanta, 404-874-5756, www.thehighlandinn.com/highlandballroom. Advanced tickets are available at A Cappella Books, 484 Moreland Ave., 404-681-5128, www.acappellabooks.com.
