Morning Newsdome: Ugandan tabloid calls for 100 gay men to be hanged

>> A year after Ugandan legislature introduced a death penalty for homosexual acts, Rolling Stone, an English-language tabloid in Uganda unrelated to the American magazine, published a front-page headline of 100 Ugandan homosexuals with the words "Hang Them" and the men's photos, names and addresses. Four of the men have been attacked and many others are in hiding. Do something, Hillary Clinton! (the Washington Post)

>> "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" has been struck down for the time being by a federal court, allowing the military to enlist openly gay people. Prominent DADT advocate, Former Lieutenant Dan Choi, tried to enlist in the Marines yesterday in Times Square, but was denied. What? Denied!? Oh, because he was too old. See, the Pentagon and gays aren't so different after all--they both only want younger guys. (CNN, Twitter)

>> Tea Party-ish Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell challenged her Democratic opponent Chris Coons yesterday about whether religious-based ideas should be taught in public schools, asking "Where in the Constitute is the separation of church and state?" and "You're telling me that the separation of church and state is found in the First Amendment?" At least the audience laughed. I'm crying. (CBS News)

>> David Bartholomew has stepped down from his position from Virginia Beach's Republican party after sending out a racist email that went something like this: I tried to sign my dog up for welfare because the dog is black, unemployed, lazy and can't speak English. Anyone in general who sends out chain mail should be fired. (Gawker)

>> And finally: Nineteen years after Clarence Thomas's Supreme Court nomination was almost derailed because of sexual harassment allegations, Thomas's wife Virginia called principal accuser Anita Hill for an apology. 1991 ... it was a good year ... (the Wall Street Journal)
