Reader poll: What’s your favorite new TV show?

The Walking Dead? Boardwalk Empire? Sarah Palin’s Alaska?

Well, we at Creative Loafing have a bias toward “The Walking Dead,” if for no other reason than it afforded at glimpse at Chad Radford’s Mighty Hannibal cover story within the first five minutes of last night’s pilot episode. You can sort of see the paper in this clip on the left-hand side of the screen near the zombie-girl’s bunny and slippers, around the 45-second mark.

But “The Walking Dead” isn’t the only new show to debut in recent weeks, which have seen such high-profile premieres as HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire,” Showtime’s “The Big C” and programs on the traditional networks. One of the biggest hits is the remake of “Hawaii Five-0.” It’s a sad irony that probably the most critically acclaimed show, Fox’s “Lone Star,” was axed after two episodes. Which is your favorite of the new crop — not counting TBS’s “Conan,” which officially debuts next week but presents an internet-only “Show Zero” tonight?
