The APD just sent out a press release about ATL rapper Gucci Mane's most recent arrest. Read on:
On 11-2-2010 at approximately 11:30 a.m., an off duty Atlanta Police officer observed a white Hummer driving recklessly southbound on Northside Drive from Northside Circle. The vehicle was violating several traffic laws while driving at a high rate of speed. Marked patrol units were notified via radio. The Hummer was seen parked at a business located in the 1100 block of Northside Dr. When officers arrived on scene, two people were observed in a verbal dispute. Officers advised both subjects to back away from each other. At that time the driver of the Hummer (Radric Davis 02-12-80 aka Gucci Mane) assaulted the victim after refusing to obey officers and was sprayed with O.C. (pepper) spray by an Atlanta Police officer in an attempt to break up the assault. Mr. Davis resisted arrest but was taken into custody and transported to Grady detention for treatment. He faces charges of: Obstruction of Officers, Interference with Government Property, Failure to Carry/Exhibit License, Failure to Obey traffic Control Device, Reckless Driving, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road, and Failure to Maintain Lane. He has since been transported to the Fulton County Jail.

Gucci was just released from the Fulton County Jail in May, where he served six months for violation of probation.
