Today's the day. Head to the polls and exercise your right to keep our elected officials where they are. Or, if you're unhappy with the current crop, give some other noble men and women the chance to make Georgia — and the country — a better place.

If you'd like to review your choices prior to heading to the polls, which are already open and close at 7 p.m., you can view a sample ballot here. Find your polling precinct here. Read a list of CL's endorsements — as well as our always cheerful editorial writer's reasons why you should cast a ballot. Need a handy PDF cheat sheet of our endorsements? Download it here. Interested in other people's endorsements? Here are a few. If you notice people up to no good at your polling precinct, let the secretary of state know. And remember: Bring your ID.

Election results, which you can monitor on the secretary of state's website, usually start rolling in around 8 p.m.

CL scribes will be at candidates' soirees — we'll post a list later today — and providing updates on Fresh Loaf throughout the night. If you're lucky, you might bump into one of us while we shove chicken fingers in our pockets.

Leave your Election Day thoughts, interesting links, terrible jokes, and lucrative invention ideas (that will officially become the property of CL) in the comments below. Consider this an open thread and do what you will.

And please, go out and vote.
