Happy Thanksgiving, you beautiful pilgrims

We take a moment to say ‘gracias’

Yes, like the rest of the civilized world, us lowly drones have been ordered to reunite with our families and eat Tofurkey and Hungry-Man dinners. Before we run off, however, we wanted to wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving — and offer a look at how we celebrate the holiday.

Pictured above is CL’s annual Thanksgiving feast. Scott Henry’s at the head of the table, telling us a long story about how he bought the knife in his hand from a Bulgarian soldier. Besha and Gwynedd (she’s the old one) are seated next to him, listening contently. Curt Holman’s to Scott’s left, acting like a little scamp, while Tara-Lynne Pixley smiles. Mara’s bringing out another turkey, only this one’s wearing socks. Amber’s picked up diminutive me and is telling me to stop talking about transit. Seated near the front, from left to right, are Alejandro Leal, Alicia Wages, Bobby Feingold and Debbie Michaud. The smaller little creature with the braid in the high chair is Chad Radford. Rodney Carmichael’s the dude with the slick beard, just looking all crisp and eager to eat that fez on the table. Just outside the view are CL’s talented contributors, interns, marketing gurus, sales force and ad designers. They’re playing Battleship and lighting small fires. Design Director Chris Mihal and Designer Amanda Croy watched all the nonsense on Skype and sketched it out. A great time was had by all.

We might peek our heads in here every once in a while. But for the most part, we’re spending Thursday throwing lamps at our family members and and Friday waiting in line to buy an outdated TV set.

We’ll see you on Monday. Have fun and stay safe.
