Sonic booms and other important news items everyone missed over the holiday weekend

Posted By on Mon, Nov 29, 2010 at 7:41 AM

Save for an excellent story about two warring natural gas companies, short-staffed news outlets between Wednesday and Sunday mostly reported on Thanksgiving staples: Black Friday sales and crimes.

Two stories, however, will have a tremendous impact on our lives:

* A mysterious "sonic boom" scared the bejesus out of people in Carroll and Douglas counties on Friday night. Local conspiracy theorists speculate that the "Villa Rica Sonic Boom" could have been a test plane flying out of Dobbins Air Reserve Base.

* Montell "This Is How We Do It" Jordan has decided to stop showing people how we do it. He's retiring from music to become a preacher in Norcross.

Now everyone return to their work stations and boost productivity by 23 percent.
