It’s been almost two years since the Gallery at East Atlanta Tattoo last hosted one of its delightfully kitschy lowbrow art shows, with themes ranging from Planet of the Apes to Mad magazine. But this weekend, the gallery emerges from hibernation for Grab It & Go!, an arts and crafts market featuring works by more than 20 of Atlanta’s favorite lowbrow artists.

This one-day sale features a range of creative wares, including paintings by gallery owner Dirk Hays, plush monsters by Jolene Wheeler of Dingo Girls Den, gothic jewelry with a rococo flair from Diamond*Star*Halo, and the feathery and flowery headwear of Hustle-n-Bustle. Though pets are not invited, pet owners can even find homemade treats for their four-legged pals from Big Daddy Biscuits.

From 2-4 p.m., you can also have your picture taken with Jim Stacy’s intimidating take on Father Christmas, Really Big Santa. In addition to everything being handmade, prices will range from $10-$100 — that's pretty darn affordable. Hot cider, finger foods and other libations add to the festivities.

Grab It & Go! Sun., Dec. 12, 1-6 p.m. The Gallery at East Atlanta Tattoo, 1188-B Glenwood Ave. 404-622-5688. www.lowbrowgalleryatlanta.com. $5 donation or free with a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
