Nearly 200 tires dumped along Beltline remind us why Atlanta can't have nice things

Beltline booster and budding videographer Angel Poventud sent along a photo he snapped while walking the 22-mile project's eastern segment this morning. He said someone recently dumped tires — he estimates approximately 200 — all along the Beltline trail near Ralph McGill Boulevard. Beltline officials say they're "getting right on it."

It doesn't matter whether it's Poncey-Highland, where tire dumping doesn't happen every day, or in southwest Atlanta, where it's all too common: This type of shit is tacky. Make a sculpture or something.
