Atlanta Jewish Film Festival announces 2011 line-up

The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival has announced its slate of more than 50 films to screen Feb. 8-27.

Peter Miller's documentary Jews and Baseball: An American Love Story serves as the opening night film. Films addressing artistic or musical themes include Wagner & Me, The “Socalled” Movie, The Klezmatics: On Holy Ground, Gainsbourg and 100 Voices: A Journey Home. Such films as Budrus and Precious Life take on the conflict in the Middle East, while selections of Israeli cinema include The Human Resources Manager and The Matchmaker.

The 11th Atlanta Jewish Film Festival also features a 25th anniversary screening of the animated immigration adventure, An American Tale and a 30th anniversary screening of the Oscar-winning Chariots of Fire, in which religious faith races against Olympic athleticism.
