The Year in Film in 6 Minutes

Is it Valentine's Day? Because someone just made a love letter to Hollywood.

At a visceral 6:03, this handy-dandy clip package, edited by "Gen I," takes us on a remarkable journey of through the world of films released in 2010.

Most impressive about this epic montage is how seamlessly it integrates themes, and how effortlessly it cuts between films, crossing genres, eras, and visual styles in a flash.

Though the comments section on the clip's YouTube page feature some nit-picking "bullet counters," (Is the line-up missing some of the 2010 Oscar-bait? "Hold on, that film came out in 2009...") most of the feedback is overwhelmingly positive.

Sit back, and enjoy a work that actually manages to make shit boxes like The Last Airbender, Tooth Fairy and even the latest Tracy Jordan vehicle seem worthwhile.

Were this a Kuleshov Experiment, you'd see me smiling.
