City of Ink makes a bid for the small screen

Would you watch a reality show about the Castleberry Hill tattoo shop?

African-Americans make up less than one percent of all tattoo artists — artist, tattooist and City of Ink co-owner Miya Bailey relays as much in a new shop video. The video’s actually an unsolicited bid from the Castleberry Hill shop for a reality TV show in the vein of TLC’s now defunct “Miami Ink” and its milquetoast follow-up “L.A. Ink.” The shop staff, which includes co-owner and Hollyweerd member Tuki Carter and aspiring comic book artist Melvin Todd, among others, has definitely got the personalities to support a TV project.

I’d watch it - damn if Atlanta doesn’t need better representation on TV.
