UPDATE: The Art of War of Art has been postponed to Sat., Jan 29.
The World Wide Arts Federation returns with their fourth-ever art battle this weekend. The Art of War of Art will feature work from Fabian Williams, Fahamu Pecou, and a fierce throng of other locals determined to battle their way to the top at the Stuart McClean Gallery. Pecou got in touch with CL earlier this week to explain what to expect from this epic battle.
"Essentially artists create personalities, personas, alter egos and engage in pen to pen combat in front of a live audience. Over the course of 2 rounds, including a round where a person is pulled from the audience and sketched by both artists and another where the 2 artists "face-off" and draw or paint each other, audiences will experience live art, improv and comedy. The art battle marries the art of "talkin' shit" to... well... the art," he said.
You can check out a few shit-talking alter egos after the jump or head over to WWAF to get all the details.
