Young Adult author Terra Elan McVoy has been named Decatur Book Festival program director. McVoy, who'd served as the festival's first assistant program director, replaces festival co-founder Thomas Bell in the role. Bell will continue helping with festival planning and supervising.

McVoy is the author of Pure and After the Kiss and also recently held the distinguished post of Creative Loafing Fiction Contest judge.

The Decatur Book Festival is largest independent book festival in the country and the fourth largest overall.
