Downtown, 'no-frills' hotel no longer in the works?

Downtowners eager to see the parking lot pictured above morph into something more exciting might be disappointed. Commercial real-estate guru Tony Wilbert reports that a Japanese company's plans to build a 40-story, "no-frills" hotel at Luckie and Forsyth streets might have changed. Wilbert noticed earlier this week that the property now features a "for sale" sign.
