Most popular damn posts o' the week

Posted By on Sat, Mar 5, 2011 at 1:43 PM

This week Beltline transit ventured intown and the Gold Dome tackled every issue a Fox News viewer could want. Twas one for the history books, we say. We proudly present the last five days' most popular posts on Fresh Loaf, which hopes this whole Charlie Sheen craze will have passed by Monday.

1. Apparently a lot of you are verrry interested in what parts of the city might first see Beltline transit — provided voters approve an increasingly controversial one-cent sales tax referendum.

2. Georgia lawmaker introduces bill requiring President Barack Obama produce his long-form birth certificate. More than 90 colleagues sign on. Powerful House Speaker basically says "cute idea, but it's going nowhere." Some colleagues backtrack. Legislation most likely dies a hilarious death. Classic Gold Dome tragedy story.

3. The state House of Representatives approves a controversial measure changing Georgia's name to "Arizona."

4. If Atlantans are going to be saddled with high water bills, can they at least be assured said water bills are accurate?

5. State Rep. Bobby Franklin, R-Marietta, is going to have a very awkward Tuesday.
