Its a bird...its a plane...its SUPERMOON!

What does the much hyped Supermoon, which made it's first public appearance in 18 years last night, do in its off time?

We have a theory that the moon wants to be a star.

What else can explain so many appearances on the silver screen?

In a body of work that spans the very history of cinema, crossing genres, continents, and budget levels, from the tiniest kinetic 16mm frame of Stan Brakhage's experimental treatise Anticipation of the Night to cameos in blockbusters like Twilight: New Moon, Supermoon is the consummate supporting player.

It's all about the work.
