>> In his debt plan speech yesterday, President Obama attacked GOP congressman Paul Ryan's budget and proposed a plan that actually tries to figure out ways to save money rather than simply shifting costs onto states. Ryan called it "excessively partisan." Also: Ryan's just happy to have his name in the news. (the Washington Post, MSNBC)

>> Iran has been secretly aiding Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to suppress pro-democracy demonstrations by supplying gear and blocking Internet and cell-phone usage. The U.S. is concerned Iran may try to expand their influence and compromise American allies by helping Shi'ite forces in Bahrain and Yemen. Keep the military aiding to America, okay? (the Wall Street Journal)

>> After an air traffic controller at the Reno-Tahoe Airport took sixteen minutes before responding to a medical flight trying to land, the Federal Aviation Administration immediately approved a measure requiring airports be staffed with at least two controllers during the night shift. Thank goodness. Now controllers can have someone to snuggle with when they nap. (the New York Times)

>> What is Santorum? The frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex? Actually, it's the former Pennsylvania senator who opened a presidential fund-raising committee today. Who would pay for that? (the New York Times)

>> And finally: L.A. Laker Kobe Bryant was fined $100,000 for calling a referee a "faggot" in a game against the San Antonio Spurs. And here I thought Kobe loved anal sex. (CNN)
