Dad’s Garage Theatre takes on new media

Dad’s Garage’s new play ‘Scarlett’s Web’ coincides with its internet radio and Youtube ventures.

This weekend Dad’s Garage Theatre presents the world premiere of it’s latest scripted show, Scarlett’s Web, a violent, musical puppet version of E.B. White’s classic Charlotte’s Web. The comedy-oriented company has been expanding in other directions as well. The Inman Park playhouse now offers shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Dad’s Garage Radio presents comedy podcasts on-line, while the theater’s new Youtube channel Dad’sGarageTV seems to be a vehicle for video work. The debut clip animates one of the speeches from Supervillain Monologues and features the voice of Christian Danley as a surprisingly belligerent moon.
