Short Notice For A Film Festival!

Posted By on Fri, Apr 22, 2011 at 2:14 PM

At 1:14 PM today, (less than an hour ago), this notice, from Virginia Albert was sent out to the GSU List Serve announcing The African-American Filmmakers Alliance "Mini-Film Festival."

It's like a Pot Luck film up, bring your movie, and let's put on a show.

It's such short notice, there isn't even a program, or any art for the event.

Dear Filmmakers,

I know this is short notice, but —

The African-American Filmmakers Alliance is having a mini film festival. Here are the particulars.

Date: Friday (today), April 22
Location: University Center, Room 485
Time: 3:30pm - 6:00pm

We will be showing short films (5-10 minutes in length - African-American content) with which we played a role (writing, producing, directing, acting, etc.) You may bring your own laptop. We will provide the project and the screen. If your film is on youtube, DVD, etc. that's acceptable.

Additionally, please provide us with the name of your short film(s), and the length so that we may compile a list. Remember, the films should run from 5-10 minutes. Let us know also what role you played in the films production — be it producer, camera, editor, writer, actor, etc. If you have more than one film, we will show one to begin with, and if there is time, we will show others.

Please RSVP via email to let us know whether you will attend (whether or not you present). And please bring your friends.

Ginny Albert
(404) 346-8599 (until 2:00 p.m.)
