The unstoppable Dance Truck will bring dance to two of Atlanta's Memorial Day festivals this weekend. The group will have shows at Mondo Homo—Atlanta's festival of alternative and indie queer arts—on Sunday, May 29, at 12 pm in Cabbagetown Park and also at the Decatur Arts Festival as part of their presentation of New Dance on May 28 and 29.

The innovative group uses the back of a rental truck as a stage for presenting the work of various local choreographers and dancers. Both events are being sponsored by the group's new corporate sponsors ZipCar. And Dance Truck also has even more in the works. Its first presentation of an evening-length work by a single choreographer, Atlanta's Blake Beckham, will take place at the Goat Farm in late July and DT will also present Atlanta choreographers at Portland, Oregon's prestigious festival of the performing arts, the TBA Festival in the fall. All of which has us saying: Keep on dancing, keep on trucking.
