Bishop Eddie Long settles lawsuit; God barrages Atlanta with violent storms

Bishop Eddie Long, the "prosperity gospel" preacher whose Lithonia megachurch was rattled by four young men's allegations of sexual misconduct, has settled the headline-grabbing civil lawsuit, lawyers say. Says a Long spokesman in a statement:

After a series of discussions, all parties involved have decided to resolve the civil cases out of court. This decision was made to bring closure to this matter and to allow us to move forward with the plans God has for this ministry.

As is usually the case when civil lawsuits resolve out of court, we cannot discuss any details regarding the resolution or the resolution process, as they are confidential.

This resolution is the most reasonable road for everyone to travel.

The young men's lawyer also confirmed that that the case has been resolved. Long had denied the allegations.

And in unrelated news, Atlanta is currently getting bombarded with intense rain from the heavens. Remain indoors, listen to your favorite TV meteorologist, and stay safe.
