>> Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wanted so badly to be the president in the 2008 election, and now she can! Clinton is reportedly eyeing the role of president of the World Bank, the international organization that gives loans to developing countries. Maybe she’ll get some respect there. (Reuters)

>> Before he retires at the end of the month, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates told European leaders today that America is done with being the military heavyweight for ally countries that “don’t want to share the risks and the costs.” Way to go out with a bang. (the Washington Post)

>> German officials have determined that bean sprouts from an organic farm in northern Germany were the source of the E. coli outbreak that killed 30 people and sickened 3,000 others in at least 13 different countries. I’m never eating bean sprouts again. (the Wall Street Journal)

>> Sarah Palin’s full-length film, slated for a nationwide release, is full of too much foul language (from comedians she’s up against) and violent war footage. It will need to be more family-friendly to be part of her campaign strategy. Can they just make a movie of the comedians berating her? (Politico)

>> And finally, following Weinergate: Twitter use among politicians dropped by 28 percent last week. Too bad, I was really curious as to reading about every move these old white men made. (The Hill)
