Well, both the Atlanta Police Department and the city — represented by the law firm Greenberg Traurig — have completed their investigations into the APD's 2009 raid of the Atlanta Eagle.

The consensus: the officers involved in the operation did not follow standard operating procedure.

Both of the reports are available in PDF, the APD's Office of Professional Standards' here and the city's here.

City Attorney Cathy Hampton said in a release, "Mayor Kasim Reed and Chief George Turner have made the resolution of this matter a top priority and will review both reports. Chief Turner will determine appropriate disciplinary action in short order. In addition, a nationally-recognized expert will conduct extensive training for each APD officer within the next 90 days."

I haven't had a chance to read them both in their entirety yet, but expect a more in-depth look today.
