In all honesty though the utter absurdity of the coverage and reaction concerning one white child and a reasonably attractive accused made me momentarily thankful that this nation has become an oligarchy. While almost every news source was giving the masses bread and circuses only the financial networks paid little attention. Let the unwashed wallow in their dirt and self pity.

As a former restauranteur who built, managed, and did every job there is to do in Restaurant for 10 years at every DePalmas Italian Cafe in Georgia to pay my way through college - I firmly believe that every human being should have to live on wages earned from waiting tables for an extended period of time to get a sense of urgency and humility in their lives.

I came into work and someone asked me about the murder trial. I didn't even know it was going on until the day of the verdict though I had heard something about a mother leaving her baby for 30 days.
This was certainly nothing like the spectacle of the OJ trial.
