Marlon and Shawn Wayans to stand up and deliver at Uptown Comedy Corner

Here's a representative exchange from my phone interview last week with Shawn and Marlon Wayans, in advance of their upcoming performance at the Uptown Comedy Corner, July 19-21:

Me: Do either of you talk about Barack Obama in your set?
Shawn: I don't, but sometimes Marlon does.
Me: Marlon, what kind of things do you say?
Shawn: He can't tell you that.

Anyhoo, if you have trouble distinguishing the accomplishments of the many Wayans siblings (and offspring), Shawn and Marlon are the two youngest, who appeared on the landmark sketch show "In Living Color" and starred on The WB's "The Wayans Brothers" sitcom from 1995-1999. They also co-starred in White Girls and Little Man, although Marlon's greatest critical success may be his performance in Requiem for a Dream. Shawn has been an active stand-up comedian for about 20 years, while Marlon first took the stage about five months ago as method-actor preparation for a Richard Pryor biopic, so expect Shawn to deliver the longest set. Here's a laid-back, informative interview, and below is a more raucously funny one:
