Edwards is on the lam, and Apoian — a nine-year veteran of the force — is in the hospital with serious injuries. John Wolfinger, a public safety watchdog of the VaHi Safety Team, updated a community listserv with a text he received from Apoian, who said he suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis and tailbone, a broken leg, and a bruised rib where his "torso went under the tire." Zone 6 commander Maj. John Dalton told Wolfinger that Apoian is "in good spirits ... [and] should make a full recovery."
Police are apparently still piecing together what led to the incident, but said that Apoian and Edwards had "an altercation." He's wanted for aggravated assault, aggravated battery, simple battery, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and cruelty to children in the 3rd degree (there were two children in the car at the time). Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who can facilitate Edwards' arrest.
And despite the fact that Apoian was RUN OVER BY A CAR YESTERDAY, the media's apparently been requesting interviews. Campos wrote, "Some of you have asked to speak to Inv. Apoian. He wants to focus on his recovery for now, and is respectfully declining those requests."

Not sure if you can see the link, if not I apologize, but some local restaurants will be giving portions of their proceeds to assist the Officer's family.
