>>Today was the deadline the White House set to reach a debt-ceiling deal—but no deal. It appears that President Obama and John Boehner may have reached a $3 trillion deal that does not include the tax revenues Democrats wanted but does cut entitlement spending. The Bush tax cuts on the wealthy are set to expire in 2012 anyway, so please Congressmen, do what you do best—act ineffective. (the New York Times)

>> A huge explosion hit government buildings in Oslo, Norway, this morning including the prime minister's office. Eight people have been counted as injured, and police decline to comment. No-way! (Reuters)

>> Malawi's president said the country will "smoke out" the opposition who are behind recent violence, including 18 confirmed deaths. Protests began on Wednesday about high fuel costs and food prices. Wait—Madonna isn't the president of Malawi? (Christian Science Monitor)

>> After GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann's husband, Marcus, referred to gay people as "barbarians," a group of activists dressed up as campy barbarians and glitter-bombed his clinic. Throwing glitter in faces is the new throwing tea off of ships. (Gawker)

>> And finally: Disgraced politician Anthony Weiner said that the hardest part of his recovery will be convincing Hillary Clinton that he's cured. Weiner's wife, Huma, is a top aide to Clinton. Hil's heard it all before. (NY Post)
